Over the last two years, something strange has been happening in and around the city of Chicago. A cluster of nearly 100 different sightings of a flying winged humanoid have been reported by residents. And at least two accounts from police officers corroborate these encounters.

The characteristics are very similar across the database: it’s 7 to 9 feet tall, described as dark black, walks on two feet, has membrane-like wings attached to its back, and has bright eyes. Some eyewitnesses report red, while others report orange and bright green eyes, leading some to believe there may be several entities.

This phenomenon is now known as the Chicago Mothman...in reference to a rash of sightings of a similar-looking creature around Point Pleasant, West Virginia in 1967.
